HDPE GEOMEMBRANE LINING

Because HDPE is readily available and has comparatively low material costs, it is the most widely utilized geo-membrane globally.

Our high-density polyethylene (HDPE) installations use “state of the art” double wedge seaming technology and extrusion welding. This includes all supplies and a site-specific installation of geomembranes.

Our team of master seamers, senior technicians, and project managers is responsible for our reputation for quality assurance. They install and rigorously test every seam to guarantee the complete integrity of the HDPE lining systems we install. The AISCO Lining crew is committed to offering top-notch products, skillful craftsmanship, and unmatched customer support.

High-Density Polyethylene as a liner is ideal for:

Containment of liquids or solids to which it is resistive
Primary and/or secondary containment of liquids or solids to prevent leachate from entering the surrounding subgrade
Prevention of moisture penetration into a structure or as a waterproofing membrane
A leak detection system where the geomembrane in conjunction with a geonet and geotextile is deployed to capture and direct leachate to collection pipes and further to a leachate collection container.
The lining of the interior of reservoirs or concrete containment areas to prevent leakage, moisture migration through concrete, and deterioration of concrete from exposure to corrosive chemicals
Canal linings and coffer dams

HDPE Resistivity and Test Methods

Resistivity:
High resistance to chemical attack including salts, bases, organic acids, detergents, ketones, fats, alcohols, animal oils, and others (available upon request)

High resistance to ultra-violet degradation
Does not deteriorate in buried applications
Seaming process bonds parent materials so that the integrity and continuity of the seams are not compromised making the seams highly resistant to failure and as strong as the parent material

Test Methods:
Seams can be tested during the installation of liner to ensure integrity. Typical tests performed are listed below:

High-pressure air test
Qualification and production weld testing utilizing tensiometer peel and tensile test, visual inspection, and the vice grip peel test

Vacuum box soap test for extrusion welds
Spark testing
